Over Holiday Park Giethoorn

The holiday park Giethoorn is located in a unique position on four headlands, right on the Bovenwijde Lake, at about 25 km to the north of Zwolle in an area that is abundant of water making it ideal for water sports and water lovers. All of the chalets which were built in 2013 are located right on the water and dispose of their own private jetty with a small electric boat (available from 26th of April until the end of October). So what would you think, for example, of doing the groceries by boat? On the grounds of the park you will find a reception, a cafe, a playground and an extra berth for the boats. Should you not feel like being active in or on the water during your stay, a trip to Zwolle, to the nature reserve De Veluwe or to one of the many museums or theme parks in the region, would be a good option. The holiday park is car-free, which means that you have to walk the last 400 m to the park. The chalets have been designed in way that you can enjoy a perfect view from the living room and the covered terrace without losing the necessary privacy. For the construction of houses high-quality and modern materials were used. The layout is spacious and practical, the furniture and decor tasteful and comfortable. The chalet of Type A is equipped with two separate bedrooms. The chalet of Type B is equipped with two separate bathrooms. Thanks to this unique concept the holiday park Giethoorn has been awarded a Dutch holiday prize 2014 in the category best holiday park.
