Over Toscaanse Villa - Res. De Eese

The Residence De Eese is an ancient estate, which is partly still recognizable, for example, by the groups of beech trees, some of which are several hundreds of years old and by the noble house of the forest ranger, which was originally called "Huize De Kom" and is now rented as a groups accommodation. Even the old house of the coach man is still standing. After paving the Bultweg in 1871 this was where you had to pay a toll. When the forest pond on the property was created some 140 years ago the earth that was dug out and just left in a heap became typical of the area; hence the local name "De Bult" (hump, bump). The Residence De Eese is a beautiful and hospitable park in a wooded area which is suitable for young and old as well as for disabled persons. The area is ideal for nature lovers and offers endless recreational opportunities. The nearby prince's estate De Eese covers an area of 800 hectares touching three different provinces, namely Overijssel, Drenthe and Friesland and is also the summer residence of the Dutch royal family. Unfortunately it is not possible to visit the property, but with a bit of luck, you can catch a glimpse of the royal family. If you would like to spend your holidays in Soestdijk or in Drakensteyn, then you have come to the right place at the Residence de Eese and you will certainly have a coffee or dinner at Restaurant Maxima in the park. In the bungalow Toscaanse Villa you will experience a Mediterranean holiday feeling right in the woods of the Overijssel province. You will encounter the Tuscan atmosphere in many areas of the house. In the large fully equipped kitchen you can cook delicious meals, just like the Italians love to do, with dining together at the large tables in the dining area with views of the "Tuscan landscape" and afterwards enjoying an espresso on the sofa, between the Venetian masks. Should you find it somewhat colder than in the Mediterranean, you can always snuggle up in front of the fireplace. From the living room you step out onto the large terrace with access to the large enclosed garden. The villa offers five double and two triple bedrooms and a dormitory for six persons (three bunk beds). There are three bathrooms, one of which with bathtub and one that is wheelchair accessible. This spacious villa that can accommodate up to 22 persons, guarantees a wonderful holiday feeling right from the start.
