The land of the former island of Wieringen is located in the far north of the province of Noord-Holland. This is a truly special part of the Netherlands, with a landscape that is so different from the surrounding polders. You will encounter a rolling, open landscape with paths and roads twisting through the fields and along the boulders. Wiringherlant is a small scale holiday park with different types of accommodation in a traditional atmosphere of the past. There is a camping site with 100 permanent sites, a hotel with 10 rooms and a few luxurious villas and cottages. The managers of the cosy park are very friendly, and they will surely help to make your stay a relaxing and comfortable experience. In the centre of the park you will find 'Het Lagerhuys', a catering unit with a nice bar, café, snack corner and restaurant, and there is also a playground with a bouncy castle. In the “Wellnesshuys” you have a choice of a variety of saunas, a Jacuzzi and a steam bath (for a charge). Because of its quiet location, the park is especially suitable for families with small children. There is also an animation program during the high season and in summer there is a corn labyrinth in the field next to the park. You can put out your own boat in the Wadden Sea behind the dike, which is bordering the park and there are other water sports facilities in Den Oever. This particular apartment (type K) was newly renovated in July 2010 and very tastefully decorated in traditional style. You will feel like you are transported back to 100 years ago but without sacrificing the modern day comforts. Two of the four beds are located in an alcove located in the bedroom and are suitable for 2 children.
