Over A4 - Het Grootslag

The holiday village 'Het Grootslag' with indoor swimming pool is located on the IJsselmeer, 4 km outside of Andijk, in the historical triangle of Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik. Within a radius of about 40 km, you will find the charming old-Dutch towns of Edam, Marken, Volendam and Monnickendam, the town of Alkmaar, with its famous cheese market, the North Sea beaches, for example in Egmond and Bergen aan Zee and last but not least the world famous city of Amsterdam. The surroundings are ideal for hiking and cycling tours. In the immediate vicinity of the park there is a paved walking path of 1 km in length over the dike, a sandy beach with swimming area (at 1.2 km), sailing, canoeing, and Yacht Rentals (at 800 m) and sufficient opportunities for fishing. The park offers a variety of leisure facilities, among others: 2 all-weather tennis courts (open from April to October), bowling alleys and a zoo, e.g. with ponies for horse riding during the school holidays (April to October). From the 1st of November to the 1st of April the supermarket as well as the bicycle and pedal car rentals are closed and the taverns only offer reduced opening hours. During the school holidays from April to October activities and entertainment are offered. There are several fishing ponds, where you can go fishing without a fishing permit. You will never get bored during your stay in the holiday village 'Het Grootslag'. The bungalows in the park have different owners, therefore the furniture and decoration may vary. The houses of type A are simply furnished detached wooden houses. In 2014 we offer the following discounts: a discount of 15% for families with at least one child who is younger than 4 years, or travelling with a person aged 55 years or older. These discounts are not valid during special periods. Applicable for weekly, weekend and mid-week stays. If you wish to take advantage of these discounts, please mention this when booking, along with the date of birth of the child or the older person. Discounts cannot be granted retrospectively and cannot be combined. For the deposit you will sign a direct debit authorization at reception, which will be drawn exclusively, if you have caused any damage in or to the property during your stay.
