The Horsterwold and the Hulkestein forests are the largests continuous deciduous forest of Europe. A lovely area for hiking, biking, horse-riding and skate trips. With its marinas and jetties is Zeewolde a very popular place for water athletes. Surf and beach fanciers can choose from 5 child friendly beaches. Nearby the villas in the Horsterwold is a 18-holes golf course. In the village is an indoor swimming pool and a large sports park. The restaurants in the center offer delicious dishes.
