This delightful Grade II Listed olde worlde cottage dates from the 1820's and has a great wealth of charm. Llangoedmor has retained the old stone floors, many oak beams, stone walls and original windows and doors. Behind the cottage there is a completely private, enclosed walled courtyard. The cottage is in the centre of the small sleepy and very quiet hamlet of Myddfai - famous for the "Physicians of Myddfai" ancient welsh herbalists; with its fabulous new Visitor Centre, shop and cafe, all overlooked by the ancient 13th century St. Michaels Church famous for its five huge arches. The Visitor Centre was officially opened by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in June 2011 as they are near neighbours at Llwynywormod Estate. The cottage is in a good location to the western end of the National Park and the new Geo Park. This is a lovely area for walking on the Black Mountain with its Red Kites and wild ponies. There is a Red Kite feeding station 2 miles away at the Cross Inn Pub. Llandovery is 3 miles.
