The holiday park Himmelberg is located in the small holiday resort of Thalfang, a charming village in the heart of the Hunsrück region, which is ideal for taking wonderful hiking and biking trips. At about 30 km from the park you will find the cultural town of Trier, the oldest town in Germany with many attractions. You should not miss the magnificent buildings, such as the Porta Nigra or the Imperial Baths, which date from the ancient Roman period. Also Idar-Oberstein, the town of gems or the nice villages in the wine-growing area on the Mosel River are well worth a visit. The spacious landscaped holiday park is located near the forest just outside the village, at the foot of Mount Erbeskopf (altitude 818 metres) where you will find a climbing park and a summer toboggan run. But also the park is well equipped. You dispose of a playground, bowling alleys, a games room, and breakfast service, and the restaurant offers delicious meals. Around the park there are marked cycling and hiking trails and you may use the indoor pool in Thalfang (at 500 m) and the outdoor pool in Morbach (at 15 km) free of charge. You will be staying in one of the cottages of the park. The first floor is accessible either by stairs on the inside or via an outside staircase. The houses with external staircase actually consist of two separate apartments, both of which come with their own kitchen and bathroom. The apartments with built-in stairs include just one kitchen and one bathroom. The interior of the houses may differ from the photos, because all the houses are privately owned by different owners. But all holiday accommodations in the holiday park Himmelberg are comfortably furnished and fully equipped. This is an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday.
