The cottage La Scheer is situated on a plot of land of 2.5 acres together with yet another house on the edge of the forest, at about 35 kilometres to the south of Strasbourg and half an hour's drive from Colmar. The famous Alsatian wines come from exactly this area. If you are a wine lover, it will certainly be of interest to drive along the 'Route des Vins' and visit the various wine-growers and wineries, but also to explore the area with its many beautiful sights. In Strasbourg, for example, you will find the majestic thousand-year-old cathedral and a beautiful old town centre with pedestrian zone for shopping. Colmar is almost even more picturesque, with its half-timbered houses and the small streams flowing through the town. The Haut Königsburg Fortress in Selestat overlooks the Rhine valley and the Vosges Mountains. Due to the unique location of your holiday home, you can combine all this with beautiful walks and hikes, which can start directly from the house. This detached holiday home is newly decorated and equipped with cosy floor heating. You access the entrance of the house via a short flight of stairs. The spacious living room features a comfortable lounge area as well as a dining area, which is adjoint by the fully equipped half open kitchen. On this floor there is also a bedroom with double bed (two mattresses) and a bathroom with shower and toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. You dispose of a beautiful garden, which is equipped with garden furniture and you also dispose of your private parking space.
