This 17th Century stone house in the South of France for all your holiday expectations specialising in quality selfcatering accommodation... This spacious stone built house adjoining the Mairie and the 17th century château, which we also call the "little Versailles" has been completely renovated to the very highest standards. It combines the ageless charm of rural provincial architecture with the exquisite style and convenience of modern design. The house has a modern open plan kitchen which is fully equipped to meet the most demanding culinary wishes. Through an arch and under impressive natural rock vaulted ceilings you will find the large dining and lounge areas. A few steps up from the lounge to the mezzanine level one can recline and listen to good music or enjoy a film in our entertainment room. Interior: Ground Floor: The living areas - kitchen, dining and lounge as well as the entertainment room - are subdivided by arches and impressive natural rock vaulted ceilings. The entertaining room is equipped with TV (English Sky TV), a small Home Cinema and Hi-Fi system. There is also a small library and a large choice of DVDs and CD's are available for your pleasure. The whole living area is large and airy and comfortably, modern furnished. Basement: One guest toilet and Laundry room in the basement: with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. 1st Floor: An iron spiral stair case leads up from the lounge to the airy landing with high ceilings and ancient beams, leading to four double bedrooms which sleep up to eight guests and two luxury bathrooms with separate toilets, all spacious and perfectly equipped: with double basins, double showers, one with bath also - all towels supplied. Two twin bedrooms and two double bed rooms, one extra double spare bed, one cot. One bedroom has a balcony area overlooking the pictured Rue du Pont and another is a split level room - all rooms with fitted wardrobes - bedding and linen supplied. Exterior: Within the extensive gardens of the property is a large inviting sunny pool and patio area with adjoining sheltered summer kitchen and gas barbecue. There are large terrace areas for alfresco dining with access through French doors to the kitchen and lounge areas. Mediterranean plants set in stone pebble beds and colourful flowers in ceramic pots reflect the typical atmosphere of Southern France. Outside 45m2 swimming pool - cold shower, loungers - bathing towels supplied. Outside roman tiled roofed summer kitchen with hot and cold water sink and gas barbecue The terrace dining area and the patio surrounding the swimming pool area offer ample seating and tables for any number of guests. The Neighbourhood: Just around the corner of La Camarguaise you find a bakery, the butchery, the vegetable and fruit shop, the bar, the restaurant, the hairdresser and many more. Adjacent to the grounds you find the "arena des taureaux" and you will feel invited to join the daily village life and the many cultural festivals. The Village and surroundings: La Camarguaise is situated in the heart of Caveirac. Caveirac is a lively and historic village in close proximity to both the Camargue and the Mediterranean cost. It is conveniently situated between Nîmes and Montpellier in the ever increasingly popular area of the Gard, Languedoc/Roussillon in Southern France. From Caveirac you are near the most beautiful towns and places of interest, Avignon, Nîmes, Arles, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier Uzès and the 2000 Year old Pont du Gard to mention a few. The whole area steeped in rich Roman history and culture. For the active guests, there are specialised green routes for walking, roller blading and cycling, extending 20kms to Sommières with all its attractions and also the exploration of the spectacular Vaunage and Garrigue countryside. And not forgotten are the various bright and vivid markets to be visited. There are numerous festivals or fêtes including bull fights throughout the year as well as the opportunities for many other activities - golf, water sports, cycling, walking, horse riding and for the less energetic wine tasting! .....
