Over Vacation Home La Fontenoise

The holiday home La Fontenoise is located in the little village of Fontaines, at about 30 km to the southwest of Beaune and 9 km northwest of Chalon-sur-Saône, right in the hearts of Burgundy. It is here, in the countless vineyards of this glowing landscape where the grapes are growing for the world famous red, white and sparkling wines, which are being produced here. It is a wonderful region which needs to be explored. You can do that for example along the “Voie Verte”, a 120 km long, even hiking- and bike trail, which has been crated on a former train line, that used to cross the area. You might get an idea, where the old saying “living like God in France” is coming from, after having tried a few of the local restaurants. Don't miss a visit to Beaune. This town has attracted wine buyers from all over the world for its annual charity auction of the Hospices de Beaune wines. The town of Chalon and the Parc Narurel Régional du Morvan are also worth a visit. Your holiday accommodation is part of a typical manor, which was built in the 18th century as the holiday home of a successful businessman from Lyon. The friendly landlords are living in the second part of the house, definitely respecting your privacy, of course. You dispose of a 300m2 quiet private garden, but you may also use the landlords' garden of 8.000m2, where you'll find century old trees, flowerbeds and a lawn where the children can play. The interior of your accommodation has recently been completely renovated and is furnished in a modern and comfortable way. The open fire place is for decoration only. Your car can be parked in the yard.
