The holiday apartment Gänseblümchen (Daisy) is located on the outskirts of the village of Ellscheid in the heart of the Maar region (volcanic lakes) in the Volcanic Eifel Natural Park. The major towns of Trier and Koblenz are located at about 1 hour's drive away and in only 30 minutes you can get to Bernkastel-Kues, Cochem and Wittlich. The village of Ellscheid is 7 km away from Daun and only 3 km from the Pulvermaar Lake, a recreational area that is highly suitable for enjoying various water sports and leisure activities. The Maare-Mosel bike path practically runs along your holiday home (at 2 km), and the village of Ellscheid is located in the Volcano-Bike Trail Park that offers a variety of routes in the Eifel area consisting of a total length of about 750 km, one of which runs right across the village. You will also find 230 km of Nordic walking trails. The many winding roads and great views of the surrounding countryside will make the hearts of bikers flutter. By the way, you can park you motorbike in a covered shelter at your accommodation. In the restaurant of the landlord (at 30 metres) you can have a nice dinner and take advantage of the WiFi connection. In the adjoining shop you can stock up on local produce such as poultry, honey, eggs, sausage, jam and homemade pasta. The apartment Gänseblümchen that has been completely renovated and newly furnished in 2013 is located on the first floor, next to the equivalent apartment Gans Schön. You access your comfortable apartment via your terrace, which is accessible via an outside staircase. On the terrace you can enjoy beautiful views of the hilly landscape of the Eifel, the playground and the meadow next to it where the sheep and rabbits of the landlord romp about.
