It may be only for a holiday week, but nevertheless it is the opportunity of a lifetime! Château de Montadet is situated in the village of Montadet, in the French department of Gers (Midi-Pyrénées). The surrounding area is hilly and rich in woodlands with miles of walking paths. At the same time you will find yourself in such a private location that you don't even have to leave the grounds. There are various terraces which are great places to relax and you can always take a refreshing swim in your private swimming pool. Château de Montadet dates from the year 1208 and has recently been entirely renovated (2012/2013). This special accommodation is situated on a plot of 10 hectares with a private park of 3 hectares. Here, on top of a hill, you have a fantastic view to the surrounding area. Inside the château you will have plenty of peace and quiet, space and privacy. You enter this unique holiday home via a large reception hall with a wide staircase. The living hall has a welcoming salon with a cosy open fireplace. You will also find a welcoming open fireplace in the spacious kitchen-diner. The stainless steel kitchen comes with all professional conveniences, so that you can prepare an extensive meal for the entire family. There are two ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor. On the other floors of Château de Verfaille you will find a total of thirteen bedrooms and five bathrooms with showers. The holiday villa sits in enormous private grounds, surrounded by spacious terraces, a swimming pool with outdoor shower, sufficient parking space and a large park. The area and the many recreational options characterize the landscape of the Gers. For example, there are forested hills, winding rivers and hedges in bloom. The area is very suitable for cycling, walking and horse riding trips through the woodlands and past the farms and villages. The village of Lombez is situated about 7 kilometres from the beautiful castle. There is a big lake at 10 km. in Samatan with possibilities to swim. The airport of Toulouse lies 50 kilometres from Château de Montadet. For a day shopping you can go to Toulouse or Tarbes, or you can go for a real bargain shopping trip to Spain and Andorra. Finally, during your stay in the unique Château de Montadet you can enjoy a wonderful climate, both during winter and summer time.
