The holiday home Lieke is situated in a lovely quiet location in the countryside in West Flanders, between the town of Poperinge and the French border. You overlook the rolling landscape with the Kemmelberg and the Scherpenberg as famous landmarks. For cyclists and hikers, you are staying in the middle of paradise, and there is even a mountain bike and hiking trail that passes by the house. Gourmets will also find a special pleasure, because the best beer in the world, namely the "Westvleteren", is brewed in the Trappist monastery of the same name in this region. In every village there are good restaurants and cafes, and in Dranouter you will find the famous two-star restaurant "In de Wulf." There is a variety of interesting destinations for nice excursions to choose from: the town of Lille (Rijssel) is only half an hour's drive away, as well as the coastal town of Veurne. With children, you can visit the Plopsaland De Panne and Bellewaerde in Ypres. Historically, the region is very important. For instance, think of the grave fightings around Ypres and Poperinge. Therefore, the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres and the Talbot House in Poperinge should not be missing on your list of destinations. Your holiday home is newly built and equipped with every comfort. From the bright entrance you enter the living room with dining area and fireplace. From the open, fully equipped modern kitchen you can keep an eye on the playing children in their children's corner while cooking. Furthermore, there are a bedroom with bathroom and a room with infrared sauna on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, with a double bed (two mattresses), a single bed and a sink each, one bedroom with double bed, and a bathroom with bathtub, shower and double sink. In the annex building there is a recreation room, which has been equipped with seating area, fireplace, table football, darts and billiards. The large garden with swings and sandbox is fully fenced, so that the children can play safely outside. On the terrace at the front side of the house you can enjoy the view and the sun. The holiday home Lieke is ideal for families with small children. You dispose of a cot, high chair, changing table and a play area. This house is primarily intended for family groups. Groups that are not family, might also be possible, subject to the consent of the landlord and possibly double deposit amount. Groups of young people under the age of 25 are not allowed in this property.
