Over Castle Le Chateau

The castle Le Chateau is located on a large private estate in Vireux-Wallerand just beyond the Belgian-Franco border to the south of Dinant. Here, the Meuse valley is just as impressive as further downstream, but much calmer. For example, you can go canoeing, hiking, quad biking and mountain biking. The town of Vireux-Wallerand offers a pleasant town centre with shops, restaurants and sidewalk cafes. At only 2 km from the castle there is an indoor swimming pool and right outside the estate you will find hiking and mountain biking trails. The castle is situated in an idyllic riverside location and the property includes a whopping 495 acres. In the old stables and the former bakehouse next to the castle building, some more holiday apartments have been set up. The tennis court and the huge lawn are shared with all the guests of the estate. Furthermore, the castle disposes of a very large private garden with barbecue area. On both sides of the castle you will find a splendid terrace, so you can enjoy the sun all day long. The building dates from the 18th century. The interior is still original but has recently been extended with modern comforts, such as Jacuzzi, brand new bathrooms in evry bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and Wi-Fi of course. Motorcycles and classic cars can be parked in one of the barns. The castle, optionally together with the outbuildings, is an ideal place for special events or receptions, such as a wedding.
