The holiday village Murau is located just outside the village of Murau, at about 5 km to the east of the historic village of St. Lorenzen ob Murau. The impressive Schladming Tauern in the north and the Gurktal Alps in the south, form the backdrop of this holiday region. You can go hiking and there are excellent mountain bike trails with scenic views available. The village of Murau is definitely worth a visit, as it has a rich medieval past. Please ask for more information at the reception of the holiday park. The village is also ideal for winter sports. The Murau ski area is relatively small, but very popular with the Austrians. You will find 75 kilometers of slopes and 26 lifts. It is an ideal ski area for beginners, but it also offers enough challenges for advanced skiers. In January 2015 the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Cup is being organized in Murau. Your accommodation is only 5 km away from the ski lifts. You are staying in a large, cosy accommodation with four bedrooms that is suitable for 9 persons. The bathroom provides a sink and a toilet next to a Jacuzzi and infrared sauna.
